After a three weeks individual car tour throughout Rajasthan we have the pleasure to confirm as following:

We and our friends here in Austria - altogether 4 persons - had the idea to explore India in another way as usually done i.e. booking such journey via an Austrian travel office. We decided to use the services of an Indian travel office however.
Our idea was to rent a car in India with an Indian driver and a German speaking escort throughout the whole Rajasthan tour.

After selecting 8 Indian travel offices via Internet and tendering among these we finally chose "Package India Tours" as our partner for the following reasons:

Although not being member of Tourist associations like IATA, IATO, TAAI etc, yet,
1. "Package India Tours" off from the beginning of our correspondence were the fastest in replying to our mails,
2. "Package India Tours" were the most flexible and kind enough to elaborate tailor made solutions
3. "Package India Tours" worked out 4 different route alternatives within short
4. giving us pieces of advice with regard to routes, driving and visiting times, hotel standards etc,
5. "Package India Tours" offered advantageous payment conditions contrary to other Indian competitors. (We did not want to having paid the full tour costs before having started here in Austria, not knowing what would expect us in India.)

"Package India Tours" and we four in Austria commonly planned the route through India, using a mini bus called "Tempo traveller" (9 + 1 places, A/C, ice box).
We proposed our hotels (Travel Guide "Rajasthan" by "Reise Know-how" and "Dumont Kunstführer: Rajasthan und Gujarat") and "Package India Tours" reserved those hotel rooms as proposed and available, if fully booked they found alternatives for us.

The tour itself surpassed our expectations in almost any aspect.
At Delhi airport we were expected by our tour escort, the driver and an assistant together with our mini bus.
And then our tour started through the wonderful and interesting Rajasthan (approx. 3,800 kms + 9 kms on camel backs) with all its wonderful temples and palaces and nature.
At the tour end all of us said goodbye to each other at the Delhi airport again.

During the journey the Tour escort Jaidev Singh SHEKHAWAT continuously informed us on live, culture, socioeconomics, history and religions in India.
Our driver Baghwati SHARMA drove carefully, even-tempered and with high perseverance.
our assistant Virendra Singh RATHORE always was at our disposition, when there was need of anything.

Our team was excellent, we finally felt like a big family as Mr. Narendra POONIA had predicted at the beginning of our correspondence, when he mailed:

We contacted Colourful Indian Holidays to organize our trip around the Golden Triangle. We had never been to India before, and were therefore keen to organise our travels through a reputable agent to ensure we would experience the most carefree and enjoyable trip possible.

Colourful Indian Holidays met and exceeded all our expectations. From when we first contacted them to the day we left India to return home, they ensured we were comfortable and very well looked after. The representatives took the time to meet us in person on our arrival, were constantly in contact throughout our journey to ensure we were well and pleased with the service. They took care of all our transport and accommodation, and it was evident that they had put a lot of thought into planning our trip: our driver was a real gentleman, reliable and completely trustworthy (an essential factor, as we were just 2 girls on our own travelling across a country we had never been to!); they organised exceptional and knowledgeable tour guides - who were all local to each place we visited – which meant we got more interesting bits of information beyond the text book  version of events. Also, we never felt pressured or pressed for time, and it was refreshing that the guides actually enjoyed showing us around to ensure our experience would be memorable. If it became evident that we had some time on our hands, the agent was ready to provide us with suggestions for other small excursions (for example, they had organised a last-minute trip to Pushkar so that we might see the famous camel fair). All in all, we could not have imagined how the service could have been any better, and we will most definitely contact them for any future trips to India .

In March 2007 we booked online the tour "Taj Mahal with Golden Triangle" including Delhi. We were kindly met by a representative at the airport, the hotels were nice (only in Agra we would have liked to upgrade the hotel). We had a wonderful guided trip through Delhi and Rajastan with a friendly, alert and safe driver. We feel, we have seen many highlights of this interesting area, and we can fully recommend Mr. Poonias company.

All the guys involved with Colourful Indian Holidays were fantastic. Of course i took a bit of a risk at first sourcing these guys on the web rather than someone local (who were much more expensive) but Narendra (Tour organiser) was extremely prompt professional and accommodating i felt immediately confident in their ability to deliver and it just got better from there (plus the prices were great). Every guide and driver we had throughout the journey was fantastic and we covered all the great sites i couldnot have hoped for a more comfortable and enjoyable experience. I would happily recommend them to anyone. As a marketing manager i appreciate the power of word of mouth and these guys truly deserve the support.

I found it very difficult to try to source and arrange my holiday to India as I live in Dubai.

I had already booked flights etc independently but was looking for someone to assist in the booking of excursions etc when we arrived. It was by pure chance that I found Colourful Indian Holidays on the Internet and from the very first contact I had with them nothing was too much trouble. I changed by mind and plans several times but they were always supportive and helpful.

They arranged everything that I requested from them at a very reasonable price. Once we arrived their guides and drivers were fantastic and very professional and prompt. I even had an emergency whilst I was there with accommodation that I had booked direct with a hotel which was awful but the guys promptly re-arranged something else for me at an excellent price. I can recommend these guys highly enough, they are friendly and professional and I would definately use them again.

It was the first time we trusted the internet to provide us with a travel agent, which made me feel a bit apprehensive in the beginning. But Narendra Poonia was so prompt and reassuring in his emails, that we took the risk and were rewarded with a wonderful roundtrip from Delhi to Varanasi, back to Agra, Jaipur and Delhi again. Not everything went smoothly all the time - you cannot expect that with so many different persons supposed to be at your service. But whatever happened, we were able to reach Mr Poonia day and night on his phone and he kept up his caring attitude right to the end when we finally met in his hometown Jaipur and his virtual presence materialized into a most charming person.

In August 2007, I independently booked a flight to India with no idea of where to go, where to stay and obviously at such short notice I was on a very restricted budget! Colorful Indian Holidays and in particular Narendram did a phenomenal job in organizing a Golden Triangle tour in three days for my fiance and myself. Despite numerous emails with our plans changing along the way, Narendra was patient and prompt in his responses. The only thing we did not like was the hotel that was chosen in Jaipur. Otherwise  the guides and drivers did a great job in showing us the highlights of India. They were always on time and willing to take us on a detour to quaint shops when we got overwhelmed with the historical aspects. I would happily recommend this companys services to future visitors.

I have recently returned from a trip to India where a part of my trip was orchestrated by Narendra Poonia. This was my second trip to India the first i did as a teacher and traveler on my own.

I had planned to do the same this time but to accommodate a friend we coordinated a tour of Rajasthan and through online searching I found Colourful Indian Holidays and began to negotiate with them about creating a trip for 2 people that would include the highlights of that region.

My friend and I were amazed by the generous nature of Narendra from the beginning he was willing to help us in ways that far exceeded any expectations I may have dreamed of having.

He helped us to set up the perfect excursion which was no small task as we were coordinating right up to departure time!

We had our own flights to India, and were arriving from different points but met in Delhi.

We were met at airports provided with exceptional accommodationsdriven and always supported by guides who were knowledgeable and personable.

We chose to upgrade to 5 star hotels at what seemed an impossibly small difference in the price of our tour in fact we couldnt have booked the hotels alone for the price that we payed to be driven everywhere and guided, including flights to from some cities!! We had breakfast included each day and were invited to choose our travel we spent most of the time with one driver but also took trains and some smaller regional flights.

(our tour: Delhi to Udaipur by plane Udaipur to Jodhpur to Pushkar to Jaipur to Agra by car.

Agra to Jhansi by train then to Khajuraho by car and a flight to Varanasi. Each step of the way was supported unquestionably.

I have learned a great deal from this trip; about how the travel industry works, and met other travelers along the way who did NOT have the same responses as we did. There are people who are not to be trusted and people who are but who charge exorbitantly for that privilege.

Narendra and Colourful Indian Holidays are in a class apart.

Without question I can recommend Narendra and his company to anyone traveling in India. He will ensure a safe beautiful inspirational and educational trip. It is my intention to recommend him to anyone planning to travel to India.

Dear Fellow Travelers: I am writing this note to tell you about my wonderful experiences in India while using the services of Colorful In India. I found Colorful In India to provide not only a great service but at the same time found them to be very reputable and honest. Here’s my story: I am an independent traveler. I do not do the group tours or get on the tour buses. When I first contacted Narenda at Colorful In India I assumed that when I told him I was a solo traveler he would simply send a note saying sorry they couldn’t help me. I was surprise to find out that they were willing to develop my own private tour with guides and drivers in several cities. I was able to choose the places I wanted to visit and they also took me to other sites that I hadn’t heard of or read about and would have never found on my own.  I had days with a driver and guide and I had days when I was off on my own, by my own choosing. They were very flexible and were willing to work with whatever schedule I choose. All of the cars were newer models with air-conditioning and all of the guides were friendly and knowledgeable as well as speaking perfect English.  There was one day where the local representative thought I had only hired a driver and as a result a trainee guide accompanied me.  I mentioned this to Narenda and he immediately contacted the local representative and expressed his apologizes. That same day I was reimbursed for that days cost. I was quite surprised to see that they took immediate action to correct the problem.  Colorful In India aims to please and they sure did in my case.
