Camel Festival, Bikaner (January): An enchanting desert
city, which comes alive with music and dance. It is fast gaining

Nagaur
Fair/Festival (Jan-Feb): This is an animal fair, with some local
sport activities and competitions. This is held in Nagaur district
of Rajasthan where cattle, horses and camels accompanied by their
colorfully turbaned owners. There is plenty of fun and festivity.

Gangaur Festival (March -April):Gangaur
festival is popular among women who pray to the goddess Parvati.
This festival in common in all parts of Rajasthan but in Jaipur
and Udaipur it is a attraction as procession of caparisoned horses
and elephants accompanying the image of Lord Shiva. The married
women pray for the well being of their husbands.
Elephant Festival (March-April):
Elephant festival is held in pink city Jaipur to celebrate Holi,
where visitors get to watch several elephant sports and can also
play this festival of colours. A show is organized with the elephants
turning out in their best finery.
Mewar
Festival (March - April): The Mewar festival is held in lake
city Udaipur. The Mewar Festival is celebrated to welcome the advent
of spring. Once the religious part of the festival is over, it is
time for cultural events where Rajasthani culture is portrayed through
songs, dances and other programs.
Urs Ajmer Sharif: Held in Ajmer according
to Lunar Calendar in the memory of the revered sufi saint Khawaja
Moinuddin Chisti, it is an
occasion for thousands of believers to congregate at the shrine
and offer their prayers.
Summer Festival(June): Organsed in Mt Abu, which is the only hill station of the Rajasthan.
During this festival Folk dances and a general atmosphere of gaiety prevails in this tiny hill resort.
Teej (July-August): Celebrated in all parts
of Rajasthan a festival to mark the advent of monsoon. Processions,
women dressed in bright
colours and a lot of merriment prevails during Teej. Essentially
a women's festival, it is interesting to watch them enjoying in
groups and at various bazaars where they turn up to shop in all
their finery.
Marwar Festival (October): This festival is held in Jodhpur, devoted mainly to the music and dance
of the Marwar region. Organized by the Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, the Marwar Festival was originally
known as the Maand Festival. Maand is a classical style of folk music centered on the romantic life style of Rajasthan's
rulers, and Maand Raag recreates the old world charm and graceful dances of the desert.
This is a must festival to attend for those interested in folk music during their vacations in Rajasthan.
Pushkar Fair (November):Held in Ajmer is the well known and marked with largest
participation of all the festivals of Rajasthan, Pushkar is an important pilgrimage as well as the venue
of a mammoth cattle fair. Bazaars, auctions, music and sports are highlight of this event. There are large no of
traditional sports held here which are a major attraction for tourist.
